From Owen Detectron to Owen Security Solutions

Starting from a desk in his home and a passion for stopping crime, Gary Owen started Owen Detectron in Calhoun, Georgia more than 35 years ago.   The company quickly became one of the largest security systems companies in Georgia.  Area homes and businesses recognized our superior services and value oriented pricing.

Today the company has grown to become one of the country’s largest privately held security companies.  Although we’re now known as Owen Security Solutions, we’re still Georgia born and bred.  Justin Owen leads our family company with Christian values and the same crime stopping passion as that of our founder, who is still actively involved with our company.

With commercial and residential customers all over Georgia and Chattanooga, Tennessee, Owen Security Solutions is known as one of the best in the business.  In addition to customer care leadership, our company is active participants in our communities and industry trade associations.  We’re members of the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association, Georgia Electronic and Life Safety Systems Association, National Systems Contractors Association, Gordon County Chamber of Commerce, Dalton-Whitfield Chamber of Commerce, Automatic Fire Alarm Association - GA Chapter and the Calhoun Rotary Club.  We also have a Georgia unrestricted low voltage license and our staff is N.I.C.E.T. certified.
