Gary Owen

Gary Owen, founder of Owen Security Solutions, worked on the family dairy farm until he was 18 years old. Graduating from Calhoun High School in 1967, Gary joined the Marine Corps, until 1973. During that time, he also worked for Irvin Ostuw at Crown Craft from 1971-1972, where he was mentored, learning valuable business principles. Gary started several businesses in the early 1970's, including an energy management conservation company, but eventually dissolved those to focus solely on the security company that he started in 1973 called Owen Detectron; he incorporated the company in the early 1980's as Owen Detectron, Inc.

Selling the first alarm system in early 1973, Gary Owen began a business endeavor that has lasted more than 50 years. He is still involved with the company, and makes daily visits to the office. He has been married to his wife, Rebecca for almost 50 years, and is the proud father of son Justin, and daughter Camille. Some of Gary's biggest passions his church and his grandchildren!
